Just a few photos of my current system before some SCM40 speakers turn up ( at the insistence of my girlfriend :D ).

Had the Lavry for just under a year, got it used from someone upgrading to the Naim Dac.

How does it sound, well I'm not one of over analysing, I tend to find things I like the sound off and then forget about the HiFi side but I'd say the Lavry gives an honest and well behaved presentation. I came to it from the CA Dacmagic and found the Lavry gave more detail and the bass was much more controlled than the DM which could tend towards overblown and mushy by comparison. I'd say the Naim Dac ( was in a full top end Niam system with PS555 ) was a step up from it and I've not listened to the Chord Dacs so can't compare to those.

Thanks for that Matt :) The way you describe it sounds like it will work much better with ATCs :)

The jump from 11s to 40s is one I hope to make at some stage - will be interested to hear your thoughts on the improvement :) What are you doing with your 11s when the 40s arrive?

Well the speakers are here, thanks Rick :)

Just got them gently running watching some TV, got them setup on some cheap wooden chopping boards so I can play around with toe-in and space from wall easily.

Photos and views later in the week once I've had some time with them.
