My new ATC SCM19A's

Postby Ivan » Sun Jan 15, 2017 2:13 pm

I had to wait a month, but they're here now and I love 'um! :D
Amazing how the bass starts and stops with no overhang and that spacious imaging :o
.....anyway, back to listening!

Lovely speakers Ivan, Enjoy :D
Are you using the sub with them?

Thanks Guys!

Yes the sub is in use, but at very low level. The Dirac integrates it with the 19's brilliantly.
The room measures better with it facing out than downward facing, before you ask! Not ideally placed, but needs must ;)

Sounds amazing after the SCM11 mk1, which I thought (and it is) a good 'speaker.

Sounds good, I've heard great things about Dirac.

Could you kindly elaborate more on this? Are you using the Dirac software or via hardware like MiniDSP?
I had the free trial of Dirac a while back and liked it a lot but couldn't bite the bullet to buy it.

Since then I bought a sub and now my setup is 2 x SCM11 MkII and a C1 sub.

I use it with the MiniDSP DDRC-22D Dirac processor. This is the digital version (there's and analog to analog version and a digital to analog versions too).
It's probably one of the best items of HiFi I have ever bought (Next to the SCM19A's!), especially if you have a room where doing any passive room correction is impossible.

I initially used it with my SCM11 mk1's with the BK sub, so should work great with your C1 :D
