dCS Bartok review in Stereophile

Postby darrenyeats » Sun Sep 29, 2019 11:57 am

October edition has a review and measurements of the Bartok.

Measurements-wise excellent, but a small-yet-clear step down from the Rossini/Vivaldi. (For IMD, JAs comment and graph don't seem to agree?)

I’ve recently taken to buying Stereophile as my local WHSmith is stocking it. I think it’s really quite a good read.

I’ll go back to the review again but I got the impression although good, the review suggested that the Mytek Brooklyn + was not far behind. Furthermore, the right to reply in the back of the magazine from the dCS reps was interesting - they are quite disappointed with the subjective review and method used!

The tech side was very positive on the other hand, although I can’t honestly say I fully understand it!
