At a guess, the 34mm unit will have a higher spl capability which would be well suited to the PA65.
I used to play music LOUD regularly, before I grew up(a little). The PA65's are the only speaker I've owned that I didn't reach their limits. They were genuinely frighteningly loud :D

OK, understood. Thank you!

The kits are ready, some people have received them, but I'm not sure what availability is like.

Cheers

I want to get a quote for a pair of SH25-76S tweeters to upgrade my older ATC units. Any idea who it is best to ask?

I asked my dealer in Italy (FunkyJunk). He asked ATC and got a reply saying that the upgrade kit is not yet available and a press announcement will be issued as soon as it is.

What country are you in?

I know of a couple of people who have the upgrade, but they sent their speakers to ATC for a service and upgrade.
Maybe the DIY upgrade kits aren't ready yet?

Try your local ATC dealer first, then try ATC, I'm sure you'll get sorted with the upgrade one way or another.

According to this news (June 2015) the upgrade kits for the new tweeter (‘S-Spec’ SH25-76S) should have been already available since last summer

http://atcloudspeakers.co.uk/2015/06/

But it seems not yet so :) Any more recent news? I live in Italy.

Thanks

I did it... I sent my ATC SCM50ASLs to UK. They upgraded the tweeters and checked the amps (replacing a couple of caps). They told me that the SCM50ASLs are practically brand new. Just arrived!
