Stuffing your vent...

Postby studioman » Fri Sep 30, 2016 2:47 pm

I have SCM150 style cabs which I am restuffing with teased 100% pure wool. Does anyone know if this stuffing should be carried through to the interior of the air vent? Thanks!

Hi David,

I don't think so. I think just the cabinet. As far as I know, transmission lines are stuffed to some extent but not ports.

Cheers

Don't over-stuff the cabinet, it'll change the driver loading which will also affect the way the port tuning works...

Hi Matt and Alex
Thank you.
I was pretty sure about that, but you've confirmed my thoughts. Thank you.
