If it turns out that you do need/want stands then the ones in your link look pretty cool to me.

ATC uses a a pretty simple frame like design for their Classic 50's though.......( I am assuming they might also make one that suits your height requirement)

http://atcloudspeakers.co.uk/hi-fi/loud ... ies/scm50/

Maybe you could ask them directly what they recommend?

It will be interesting to see what other users here think too as there are a few different ways/materials to achieve height adjustment.

Also need to consider which method/material is best regarding the potential influence it may have on bass...........(also why I liked pavers!!)

Another reason for pavers is that the height becomes adjustable so you can really fine tune........in the end I went with 4 pavers at 4cm thick for a total lift of 16cm but listened with 2 and then 3 for a while first.

Thanks, but as you know, I have the TOWER version of the SCM50 Actives, so I think that ATC regular stands will be too high for them...as for materila, I saw that limited editions came also with full metal stnads...

BTW, I asked several questions to ATC directly, few months ago, no answer so far.

They are always very helpful but not via emails, I suggest you contact them by phone if you can.
Hope this helps.

So, I bought today these stands, with spikes it gives approx additional 20 cm of height.
Will report soon how it sounds with my ATC SCM50 ASLTs.

Stands installed, added approx 15 cm.
ATCs are on Soundcare Soundspikes, the added stands are on Cold Ray Ceramic 4 Cones each.
Much more space, imaging is much better, bass and treble very precise, well so far is an amazing update I think.

Midrange speaker now at 100 cm (middle), seating position distance 3 m, height approx 90 cm.

Seems correct now

Next step - putting them (SCM50) on Cold Ray Ceramic 4 cones.

Did it with my Naim gear - amazing result.

So guys, added Cold Ray Ceramic 4 cones under ATC SCM50ASLTs (4 for each speaker, 8 in total).
BIG, very big difference, incredible improvements. Just try it.

Sounds good, are they just placed so that the speakers balance on them, or do they screw in where the spikes go? And what is the floor made of in your room?

Cheers
