Everything including the Dac still running in, of course , but I have to warn that these speakers sound much more like studio monitors than what I heard from previous ATCs which were a bit dark.
The difference between good and bad recordings is much greater and there is so much more detail to be heard.

Oddly I usually find most studio monitors are voiced flat while hifi speakers tend to be brighter.

I'm going to be upgrading to the new super tweeter when it's available for retro-fit. I'm getting tired of my Vifas to listen to and my mixes aren't always translating at the top-end...

Yes difficult to photograph !
I chose a very traditional, almost 1970s look with oak veneer and brown cloth grille. :)

I wonder what the future of the standard 50/100/150 models is , will they also be curved cabinets ?

My guess is that the standard versions will remain as they are since they've also become classics in their own right.

I bet the special amplification in the SE versions is making a lot of the difference in sound quality!
Plus the new ATC tweeter must be such a great bonus :)

When I asked in November, this is what I was told. ATC have no plans to replace the current models. The only difference with new orders is the new tweeter will be nearer to the mid dome because the new assembly allows it, being narrower than the SEAS. But the eventual 50/100/110/150 upgrade will position the new tweeter likewise nearer to the mid dome thanks to an "upgrade flange" - the new tweeter being off-centre in the upgraded flange.

It's worth mentioning the Anniversary and EL150 models are listed under "Special Editions" on the website - it would make sense to me if the "SE" is a further special edition.

Listened to some of Keilberth's 1955 stereo recording of Wagner's Ring yesterday - these speakers are the first I have had that get the balance of orchestra and singers right, ie on most speakers you want to turn down the volume as soon as the soloists come in, not so here. Of course the new DAC on the Weiss server helps ( discrete fully balanced output stage )

Dogill, you should really create a new post for your new system with photos and your impressions :)

I will try :)
These speakers are nothing short of a miracle - I don't know what ATC have done, it can't just be the tweeter. In the Hong Kong interview Ben Lilly said there had been "subtle" changes to the electronics, and maybe the cabinet is more rigid.

I was lucky to have a chat with Ben Lilly in Munich :)
He confirmed that the SE models have a laminated cabinet unlike normal models, this together with the curved shape explains the improvements heard.
He also said there would be 50 and 150 SE models .

I think a big part of what you are hearing "different" is the combo of the ATC tweeter and the Discrete Amplifiers. Remember, the tweeter is so much less distortion than before, it reveals a lot of info previously hidden.
