Munich

Postby Dogill » Sun May 10, 2015 8:41 am

Anyone going ? I will be there as usual. I wonder if anyone from ATC will make an appearance - in every previous show there was only the German distributor , last year again only static.

I'd be interested to hear your views from the show, particularly the new Kii Three loudspeaker.

Cheers

It's funny you should mention that, I'm hoping to go to their launch event which is actually happening at a studio nearer the centre of Munich.

The Kii Three looks like a very interesting speaker, and Bruno Putzeys makes some very advanced stuff.
But they'd make my Hypex Ncore monoblocks obsolete - so I'm trying not to look :-)

Interesting one!

I would love to compare the following side by side:
Grimm LS1
Genelec (whatever the model no. that has dsp)
Barefoot
Devialet Phantom
Kii three
Advanced B&O pair
Advanced Meridian pair
Old school ATC setup

Advanced active loudspeakers seem to finally multiply
iMac/Bluray/PVR - Marantz SR7008 - 7.1 ATC SCM50SLAT fronts, C1C centre, SCM7 rears, MonitoAudio M3 rear surr, C4 sub
Airplay multiroom (aex to genelec 6010, b&w mm1, avi dm10)

Please let us know how that goes. The Kii Three and Devialet Phantom silver look like they could be great speakers, but they would have to do great mids along with their specified extended bass response in order to appeal to me. And they would need to shift air like a large pair of ATC's to really win :)

Hi All,

I will be in Munich but no demo room I'm afraid. We are looking at a demo space for next year but, as yet, this is unconfirmed.

Kind Regards,

Ben
