Checking to see if I understand what's needed to post a message.
These are the pics of my new 3C3 speaker in a very nice satin finish. There is some banding evident in the pictures that is also present in person. I'm presuming that will go away. The speaker is a darker black, it looks somewhat gray in these pictures, probably due to substandard photo skills.

Larry,

That center looks awesome!

How is the grill connected - can you show more pics please?

Shadorne:

Not sure if these pics cover your interest. The grill mounts with a small "press-fit" insert from the grill into the front baffle.

Larry,

Thanks for the extra pics. I wonder if those holes can be added after? My SCM 20SL passive pro do not seem to have any option for a grill which is why I was interested.

Shadorne:

OK, now I understand what you're after.

I thought parts express might have them, but they don't. They're a simple device, here's an example that's similar:

Hope that helps.

I hooked up my 3C3 center channel. Running through my Onkyo's sound check, the timbrel balance of the 3C3 is more rolled off than the 20-2A speakers. Of course the 3C3 only has minutes on it, so if there is break in (I believe there is) the sound will open up. I like having the center channel and don't regret their purchase, but at this point there does seem to be a bit of a difference in the sound. Whether I care about that difference while listening to music or movies is different question. The Parasound amplifier may account for some of the difference, but I don't know.

Happy listening to you all.

Hi Larry

Good to hear you have the C3C up and running. I believe a new loudspeakers tone changes with some use, initially starting off sounding a bit closed in and lacking in extension, then gradually filling out and in the bass and opening up in the mids and highs.

Keep us posted.

Cheers
