some pics with Nikon D5200

Postby kingabs » Fri Mar 29, 2013 3:21 pm

Went down to Musicraft to take some pics, thought i would share 3 of them with you.

Pics taken on a Nikon D5200 with stock lens 18-55mm. Ordered a Tamron 18-270mm lens so will take some more when it arrives.

Careful as they are large file sizes

Thanks Matt!

I am also looking at a Tamron AF 60mm lens which will allow me to do amazing close up shots and get amazing detail.

Might have to wait a few months before i can but it.

You'll have to work your magic and create a Musicraft portfolio ;)

Awesome shots. The D5200 is amazing and does video too! Nikon have really upped the ante recently. A couple of years ago Canon was better for most consumers and pro photographers wanting digital. Now it is more of an even playing field with the D800 enjoying what is likely to remain a short lived reign at the top of the prosumer list. For artistic shots Leica cameras and lenses still rule. Finally DSLR's are kicking the butts of regular point and shoot both in performance and price. In fact for "point and shoot" an IPhone is pretty much all you need. Congratulations on your new toy, amazing camera at an amazing price to boot!

The Tamron f2 60mm would make a great macro and portrait lens - special purpose though as it won't do much else!

I thought about getting the D7100 but again didn't warrant the cost considering i am only getting into photography and thought the Nikon D5200 would be a good starter with good all round features at a good price.

I used to have a watch fetish, and wouldn't leave the house without wearing one, but i stopped wearing them years ago.
I was either in work wearing a G-Shock that got battered eventually, or out of work wearing a shirt that i couldn't fasten the cuff on due to my huge watch, so i just gave up on them.
